Caroline Chin's performances have taken her throughout Italy, France, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Moscow, Kazakhstan, China, and Australia. In the United States, she has performed throughout the Chicago area at the Daley Center, the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC during the "Imagination Celebration", as well as at the White House during their Christmas Festivities. She gave her solo debut at age 12 with the South Suburban Symphony of Chicago and has also appeared with the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, the North Suburban Symphony of Lake Forest, the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra at Grant Park, Chicago.
Caroline was a winner of the Arts Recognition and Talent Search (ARTS) program through the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. Concertmaster of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, she performed with them during their European tour where the CYSO was the first youth orchestra presented by Amsterdam's Concertgebouw concert hall. Caroline has performed at the Aspen Music Festival, Norfolk Summer Music Festival, Taos Chamber Music Festival in New Mexico, International Musicians Seminar Masterclasses at Prussia Cove, England , and the Internationale Stichting Masterclasses in Holland where she was invited to perform with Philippe Graffin, Colin Carr, and Charles Neidich at the Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn. She has collaborated with members of the Takacs Quartet, Vermeer Quartet, Chicago String Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet and the Juilliard Quartet.
Throughout the New York area, Caroline has performed at Merkin Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Carnegie's Weill Hall. She regularly performs with the String Orchestra of New York City and the New York Sinfonietta.
Caroline received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Indiana University's School of Music as a student of Miriam Fried and has received her Master of Music Degree from the Juilliard School where she was a student of Robert Mann. She is currently on faculty at the Point Counterpoint Chamber Music Camp in Vermont.
